性質描述: 無色液體。凝固點-23.0℃，沸點155.25℃，相對密度0.7754（20、4℃），折光率1.4251（20℃）。能與醇、醚混溶液，微溶于水。
生產方法: 將正庚醛肟（見20965）溶于無水乙醇，加熱至沸，投入鈉條，并維持沸騰回流。鈉溶完后，冷卻反應物，用水稀釋，將反應物料蒸餾，讓餾出物去除乙醇、水及未反應的肟，殘余物中正庚胺鹽酸鹽即結晶出來，用堿處理，可得庚胺，收率60-73%。
用途: 用于有機合成。
